We provide the equipment you need, as well as dental nurses, hygienists, receptionists and our central support team so you can focus on providing first-class dental care.
The Best Foot Forward Programme is designed to bring VDP and TVT colleagues together from across Clyde Munro practices, and provide additional training to jump-start your career in dentistry and offer insights into future opportunities.
Its purpose is to introduce new aspects of dentistry, while also highlighting the non-clinical skills and responsibilities to be aware of as you transition to being self-employed associate dentists and dental therapists.
The sessions cover topics such as:
- Embracing Digital Dentistry
- Creating Successful Associate / Lab Partnerships
- Maximising Your Diary and Working with the Wider Team (in Practice and Across the Group)
- Financial Planning
- Creating Your Own Brand
- Introduction to Rubber Dam
- Tooth Whitening
- And more!
Additionally, the programme offers one-on-one support for managing schedules as you approach the end of your VDP or TVT year and begin your career as an associate dentist or therapist. When the programme is complete, delegates will be given priority access and an early bird bonus payment to join the group as an associate dentist or dental therapist.

Networking
Get to know your fellow VDPs and TVTs across the group. Having people in the same situation as you start this next chapter of your career provides you with a great support system. We also have an extensive network of former VDPS and TVTs on hand to offer guidance along the way.
Training
Associates will graduate to our Flying Start and Accelerate programmes as they advance through their careers. We also have the Advanced Dentistry and Clinical Skills Centre with many courses and webinars dedicated to Dental Therapists and Dentists.
Events
From our Clinical Conference to courses at the Advanced Dentistry and Clinical Skills Centre plus regular company get-togethers, at Clyde Munro we like to keep in touch with each other.
Clinical Support
Expert clinical support, broad ranging courses and webinars – Clyde Munro provides you with learning and development opportunities from day one. We are proud to have a range of clinical experts who can come to you and provide hands on support if needed.
Support Payment
But that is not all; to alleviate the financial challenge of transitioning from salaried VDP to self-employed status, we offer a support payment to ensure a smoother financial transition during the initial months of independent practice.
