We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Management Accountant to join us at Scotland’s leading Dental Group on a full-time basis. Clyde Munro is a fast-paced organisation, expanding across Scotland, and we are now looking for an accountant to support the Group Financial Controller. This is an exciting time to join Clyde Munro as we continue to grow through acquisitions with the pace and diversity of the group throwing up new and exciting challenges on a daily basis.
Your Role
Our finance team play a key role in the operations of the business and this new position provides a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with first class technical and management accounting capabilities. You will take ownership of the Management Accounting function of the group. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of the Monthly Consolidated Management Accounts – including but not limited to review of cost centres, distribution of results to budget holders, and Directors, preparation & review of balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end journals.
- Assisting with annual budget, reforecasts and cashflows
- Finance Business Partner for 1 region – meeting with the relevant Head of Region monthly to discuss results.
- Preparation of monthly treasury accounting journals –including bank debt drawdowns/repayments and posting of monthly interest journals.
- Monthly Review of Purchase Ledger Payment Runs

Assisting with the coordination of the annual external audit – responding to auditor requests and assisting in back up for Statutory Accounts.
- Participation in ad hoc finance projects – including systems, controls & processes development.
About You
We are looking for an accountant who possesses excellent organisational, interpersonal, and technical skills. The ability to analyse and understand the substance behind the numbers is a key requirement, as is someone who is committed to continuous improvement. You should have a strong track record of achievement both professionally and academically.
Role Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience of accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience desirable but not essential)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI experience Desirable
- Experience in delivering financial/business analysis to support management decision making
- Adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment where change is the norm
- Good problem-solving skills, communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and able to deliver accurate and timely results
- Deadline focused and willing to put in the effort to ensure they are always achieved
- Strong people skills, able to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
